Up-date 11/6/08

Following an exciting Sunday 18th May at Gransden (there was no flying on the Saturday due to poor weather) where HUS was represented by Russell Cheetham (Pundit), Derek Coker (Intermediate) and Kevin Fisher (Novice), Hus Bos is sitting 4th our of 6 teams, with the scores as follows:-

Cambridge  36
Dunstable   35
Cranwell     26
Hus Bos     24
Saltby       13
Wittering    4

A team has flown at Wittering, however we are awaiting the final scores.

 The Team for HUS on 3rd, 4th, 5th May


The following pilots have agreed to fly for the Club over the bank holiday weekend

Weather is not looking to bad (for Saturday anyway) so please do come down to support the Team. Tasks are open to any pilots.

BBQ is being arranged for one night at least, otherwise food is available from the Diner.

Pilots will be selected using the criteria below to fly, however this does not stop anyone helping out, joining in the fun and competing at the above locations. The event is free – so there are no charges as in most cross country events.

Rolf Tietema will be managing the Husbands Bosworth event on 3-5th May, so please feel free to contact him if you need more details.

Entry Criteria

The following criteria (slightly felexible..!) will be applied in selecting pilots to fly in one of three categories:-

Novice : Any pilot who has not attained any of the levels below. Pilots will normally be limited to a glider with no more performance than a discus.   

Intermediate: Pilots who have competed in a Regionals or flown a 300K can complete as an Intermediate or Pundit pilot, but not a Novice.


Pundit : This is open to all pilots, however pilots who have participated in a Nationals or flown a 500K must fly in this category.
