Our trial flights include three months membership and a variety of flights to discover what gliding is really like. They’re great value and the experience of a lifetime.

Your three months membership means you can take more flights at our normal member rates as well as enjoying the social facilities of the club.

Some limitations apply and persons above 220 lbs(100 kg) or 6ft 2ins(1.88m) should contact the Club before ordering a trial flight.

Classic  Trial Flight After a full pre-flight briefing, your glider, with a fully qualified instructor at the controls, will be towed behind a powerful tow aircraft to 3’000 feet. Your instructor will give you the chance to do some of the flying and discover the special kind of freedom only glider pilots know.	Standard Trial Flight Starting with a safety briefing, the standard trial flight offers a flight with a qualified instructor. You will be launched to 2’000 feet behind a powerful tow aircraft. Your instructor will allow you to sample the feel of controlling the glider. and you will have a wonderful unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside.
Motor Glider Trial Flight A half hour flight over the local countryside in a powered glider that takes off and lands like a light aircraft.	Winch Launch Trial Flight Starting with a safety briefing, you will experience the exhilaration of a winch launch comprising 2 flights in a dual controlled glider. Take in the views whilst sampling the feel of controlling the glider.
Group Events This is very popular with companies or 'club’ groups. Share the experience on the same evening, and complete it with a meal in the clubhouse or a summer BBQ. Click Here for more details...
