All our courses include three months membership. They’re great value and the experience of a lifetime.
Your three months membership means you can take more flights at our normal member rates as well as enjoying the social facilities of the club, and if you decide to join as a full member within three months of taking the Flying Start or First Solo courses, there will be no entrance fee to pay.
Flying Start
This one or two day course is the best and most cost effective way to discover what gliding is really like. Experience gliding without a major commitment on your time or pocket!
Spending the complete day with a qualified instructor and a maximum of three students, the day starts with a full pre-flight briefing. We aim to complete three flights with each student during the course of the day, each flight consisting of a launch to 2’000 feet behind a powerful tow aircraft.
First Solo Standard
This course is the first step towards learning to fly. You will join a small group of fledgling pilots with its own instructor and glider.
We believe that low numbers mean high achievement. Because of this, we limit the number of student pilots per instructor and glider to three. With this kind of concentrated instruction you will really make progress towards your first solo.
