What do I need to wear?
All airfields are large open spaces and consequently tend to be windy places. It is sensible to bring extra layers of clothing with you, including sensible outdoor footwear and a hat. These items can be easily removed if you become too warm, but if you become cold and don't have any layers to put on, you will get seriously chilled, especially if standing around waiting for a flight.

During the warm days of summer wear a protective hat, suncream and sunglasses, but don't forget to bring those extra layers also. The evenings can cool down quite rapidly. Ladies will find in easier to get into and out of a glider if trousers or jeans are worn.
