| No, certainly not. Gliders in the UK are either made for one or two pilots, one behind the other in most cases. You will not have the pleasure of flying a single seat glider until you have gone through vigorous training and can prove you have the ability to fly on your own. But, if weight and height allows, you will be asked to sit in the front seat. The instructor has the ability to fully control the glider from either seat and generally sits in the back. The view from the front seat is spectacular! |
