How do you know where the glider is going to go and land?
The glider is fully controllable in the same way as any powered or commercial aircraft. Using the controls we point the glider in the direction we wish to travel, planning the flight to ensure we maintain enough height and proximity to land back at the place where we take-off from, or close enough not to obstruct other aircraft.
