The Gliding Centre Terms & Conditions

1. Flight Cancellations
The Gliding Centre (TGC) reserves the right to cancel any flight without prior notice due to
unsuitable weather conditions. Additionally, flights may be cancelled, postponed, or
rescheduled by TGC due to operational needs or aircraft serviceability.

2. Liability for Expenses
TGC shall not be liable for any travel, accommodation, or other expenses incurred due to
flight cancellations by TGC including unsuitable weather conditions.

3. Voucher Validity and Refund Policy
Vouchers for trial lessons and experience flights are valid for 12 months from the date of
purchase and are non-refundable.

4. Age and Health Requirements
Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by their parent or carer whilst at TGC.
All participants must certify their good health and ability to enter and exit the aircraft unaided.
It is recommended to consult with a GP prior to flying if there are any health concerns.

6. Conduct and Safety
The aircraft instructor has the authority to refuse entry to any participant at his/her discretion.
Participants are advised against consuming alcohol or drugs within 24 hours of the flight.
Entry will be refused to anyone suspected of being under the influence, with no refunds
provided.

7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 7 days before the flight. Any
cancellations up to 7 days before the flight will incur the full cost of the flight.
Participants are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled flight. Failure to
arrive on time may result in your flight being delayed until later in the day when capacity
allows it.

8. Confirmation
An email will be sent to confirm your booking with a link to fill out a daily membership form,
without this you cannot fly. Please bring your voucher with you, again without this you will
not be able to fly.

9. Liability for Personal Items
While all necessary precautions for passenger safety are taken TGC cannot be held liable
for loss, damage, or injury that does not result from its negligence. Passengers may bring
cameras and other photographic equipment on board only with the instructor’s consent and
at their own risk.

10. TGC Members Booking Course Instructors
TGC members may book a course instructor by paying a charge. The instructor to student
ratio will be no more than 1:2. Members will arrive by 8:30am and will stay until the hangar is
packed at the end of flying.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 7 days before the booking.
Any cancellations up to 7 days before the flight will incur the full cost of the instructor fee
(£55.00). Rescheduling may be granted if requested more than 7 days before booking and if agreed
there will be an £25 admin fee.

TGC reserves the right to cancel any booking without prior notice due to unsuitable weather
conditions. Additionally, bookings may be cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled by TGC due
to operational needs or aircraft serviceability. In the event of a full cancellation by TGC the
member will not be charged for the booking.

Husbands Bosworth Gliding Club Limited (HBGCL) is a not-for profit organisation and intends to register as a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC)
