Launching facilities will be available every day. We have a four drum winch, with a professional operator, and several tow planes suitable for all types and ages of glider..

Evening Functions

Each evening will be for food, fraternising and merriment.

The Closing Ceremony

The Closing Ceremony will take place at 16:00hrs on Thursday 25th July outside the clubhouse.

Organised Excursions

Discussions are underway for interesting visits, particularly useful if the weather is poor. These are examples ….

The planned visit to Stanford Hall to see a replica of his “Hawk” gliding machine is no longer possible. Info from Andrew Jarvis.

A few miles away there is a Brewery who offer escorted visits around the Brewhouse with a chance to sample the beers afterwards – a provisional booking has been made for the evening of Thursday 25th July. Please let us know whether you will be attending as soon as possible. NOTE: There is a charge for this excursion.

The Father of the Jet Engine, Frank Whittle, is remembered in a museum just a few miles to the West at Lutterworth.

There are many places of interest and history in easy driving distance.
